The Canal Cottage is a beachy home set along a saltwater canal in Hernando Beach, Florida. We are only 15 minutes by boat to the peaceful waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
Back on land, our grassy yard invites you to relax – among swaying palms, a hammock and canal views that may include dolphins. Eat al fresco as neon sunsets swirl across the sky. Or talk for hours around our fire pit.
We also have cornhole and fishing rods, plus a dock with two v-hull boat lifts (each holds 10,000 lbs).
The space

Inside, our beachy decor makes you feel like you’re on vacation. Unwind in the living room where white and lagoon blue furnishings evoke an ocean palette. And yes! Colorful fish sculptures adorn some walls.
Our kitchen has everything you’ll need, including lots of counter space and stainless steel appliances. Plus a coffee & tea bar with K-Cup pods, tea bags, hot chocolate in winter and more. Steps away, our light-filled dining room looks out to the canal and yard. With a table that seats 8 people, it’s a great spot to play card and board games. Or enjoy quiet time with puzzles and books.
And when it’s time to call it a night, retreat to our three bedrooms for a good night’s sleep. Drift away among pastel blue and green walls, picture windows and sea-inspired bedding. This is the good life!
